Todd Martinson

Owner and Chief Instructor

Chief instructor Todd Martinson began training as a martial artist in 1995 under Sifu Norris Domangue while stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. Eventually earning 1st Degree Black Belts in both Tae Kwon Do and a Mixed Martial Arts from Sifu Domangue while at Langley Air Force Base.

He began training under Master Calvin Longton at Precision Martial Arts in 2010. Eventually earning  3rd Degree Black Belts in both Krav Maga and Hapkido.

He started working as an Instructor at PMA in 2013 and became owner and Chief Instructor in 2021 when Master Longton retired.

Mr. Todd joined the Air Force in 1989 as an Imagery Analyst. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of service. He served in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He deployed multiple times in support of Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Todd earned an Associates Degree from the Community College of the Air Force and a Bachelors Degree from Bellevue University in 1998.

 

Wayne Tillman

Wayne Tillman offers a unique skill set as a Krav Maga instructor with Precision Martial Arts. Wayne retired from the Air Force in 2009 after an exciting career in Air Force Special Operations Command. That is, after also being enlisted in the Army in the infantry for five years. All throughout his military career, Wayne always had a passion for all martial arts. Since he was regularly deployed, he got his training whenever and however he could. One of those trainings in martial arts that Wayne studied was Krav Maga. In fact, he loved Krav Maga so much that he knew once his retirement was active, that he would find a place where he could continue to practice Krav Maga. In 2008, just months prior to his retirement, Wayne discovered, and signed up to train at Precision Martial Arts, formerly owned by another military veteran.

What Wayne loves about Krav Maga is the no-holds-barred, no-frills attitude of the discipline. In other words, he loves the fact that Krav Maga gets down to the nitty gritty. Wayne holds black belts in several Krav Maga organizations, and he holds a Master Instructor certification at Precision. Wayne has a true passion for teaching others how to protect themselves. He really enjoys watching the change that new students go through. They start school, most of the time, feeling unsure and intimidated, which is normal. Wayne really enjoys watching their self confidence build in even as short as six months!

Wayne frequently attends seminars and receives certifications for specialized training. For example, active shooter, hostage, and more. Wayne feels that Precision Martial Arts is the best in our area for one main reason- the feedback. Whenever he goes on these specialized training trips, the instructors of those specialties are very impressed with the techniques learned from Precision Martial Arts as being quite superior!

Clifton

Clifton started his love of wrestling at Queenslake Middle School in 1989. At Bruton High School he was a AA Virginia Division Regional Champion and placed in the state AA tournament. Clifton was a Division 1 wrestler at Old Dominion university before enlisting in the Air Force.

Clifton enlisted in the Air Force as a Weapons Specialist in 1995. In 2000 he cross trained to become a Cyber Systems Specialist and retired after 21 years of service. Clifton is a Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. Clifton earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix in 2011.

Clifton started training in Krav Maga at Precision Martial Arts in 2017 under PMA founder Calvin Longton. He earned his Black Belt in 2021 under Chief Instructor Todd Martinson and Senior Instructor Wayne Tillman. He became the wrestling coach at PMA in 2021.
